Hi, I'm Anna Timms-Zseder
I'm so glad you're here
I've always had a passion for photography, but looking back, I realize it only really took root after we moved just outside of the little town of Houston in the Bulkley Valley in April of 2025. After growing up in the prairies of Northern Alberta, the mountains of BC are like an escape to paradise, only it's a paradise I get to escape to every single day. Everything changed; my eye improved, and everything I looked at I composed as a photograph in my mind, something to look back on, something to make you feel a certain way.
When you're surrounded by natural beauty every which way you look, it's hard not to feel inspired.
That's why photography has become my biggest obsession since moving here. Everywhere you look, there's beauty worth remembering, both in the landscapes and the people. That fascination has led me to explore different photographic mediums like film, whose warmth, texture, and imperfections have a way of making a picture feel like a memory in the making.
This is what inspired Summit & Sepia Co. It was born from an awe of the natural beauty we are fortunate enough to live amongst, and from a love of a time gone past — the days of sepia-toned photographs, film images full of memory, colour, and warmth. Photographs that felt real. Photographs that were worth remembering. I think about the photographs I’ve taken of my own children and my family, and I think about how I hope they will be preserved long enough for my children to one day share them with their own children. I want them to have something tangible to look back on — photographs full of warmth and memories that bring them back to not only what their childhood looked like, but how it felt.
That’s what I want to do for you.
I want to create photographs that become part of your family’s story. Images that, years from now, you can pull from an album and be transported back to a moment you may have otherwise forgotten — the way your child held your hand, the way you looked at each other, the feeling of being together. Photographs that don’t just remind you what happened, but remind you how you felt.
And hopefully, one day, your children will feel it too.
Let's make some memories.
